| The campaign will start in mid-November and will include gift vouchers and a raffle for a car | The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for the Commerce area, Manuel Padín, presented on Tuesday November 10 the campaign 'The award is for everyone' with which the City Council, in collaboration with the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC) , wants to reactivate the small businesses in the municipality and boost the sector.The mayor, accompanied by the president of the employer, Ana Correa; its vice president, José Ángel Díaz; and the manager of the Automenor dealership, Alberto de la Corte, explained the details of the campaign that will consist of the distribution of 200,000 scratch cards awarded with direct gifts and with participation in a car raffle."This is an initiative born within the Trade Council to try to help small businesses at a time when they need us more than ever," said the councilor, who added that the goal is "that citizens maintain and renew your confidence in business as usual ”.The establishments that want to participate in the campaign must register for it through the COEC website and will have seven days to do so, closing the registration period next Tuesday, the 17th.
To participate it is not necessary to belong to any association of merchants and will have no cost.The campaign will begin on Thursday, November 19 and will last until January 6.
Customers can get a scratch card for every purchase over 20 euros in participating establishments.
Direct gifts will consist of vouchers of 25, 50 and 100 euros to be exchanged at participating venues.
There will also be prizes that will be participations in the draw for a car at the end of the campaign, coinciding with the Extraordinary Draw of the National Lottery on January 6.
In addition, electric skates will be raffled off.The City Council, through the Department of Commerce, has invested 40,000 euros in this campaign through an agreement with the employers' association COEC, recently approved by the local Government Board.
It is estimated that the commercial initiative can mobilize a minimum of four million euros in the sector.The president of COEC has highlighted the work and joint effort of the employer's association with the City Council for the commercial sector, which translates both in the campaign presented today and in the creation of the Cartagena Market tool, to facilitate online sales for businesses.For his part, José Ángel Díaz thanked Automenor for its involvement in the initiative and stressed that it is “an ambitious campaign to show that small businesses are still alive and call on citizens to make their purchases in these establishments ”.
