This Wednesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m., the protagonist will be the sociologist Gaspar Brändle with his proposals on the challenges of the digital society in times of pandemic and confinement, and where it will be raised, among other questions, if we are in the beginning of a definitive transformation in the way we relate and manage our emotions.
The talk can be followed hereThe talk by the professor of Sociology at the University of Murcia in the culture and critical thinking program of the Cartagena City Council is part of the section that this season is dedicated to reflecting on the pandemic.
In the colloquium, which is entitled, 'The digital society: challenges and paradoxes after the experience of the pandemic and confinement' will be presented by Jeisson Martínez Leguízamo, member of the promoter group of Cartagena Piensa. In the talk, Brändle will raise how "the digitization of our daily lives is not a recent event, but the pandemic has had a visible impact on the acceleration and amplitude of this process.
Before confinement, the virtual space already functioned as a simulation of the real, in such a way that digital experiences were for most of us a common complement to face-to-face life.
In recent weeks, with restrictions on the use of public space, we have had to further close the virtual / real duality and get used to the fact that most of our lives inexorably go through technological mediation ".This digital omnipresence has modified the way in which we interact and build social life, therefore it will be time for those who attend the talk through the network to consider together with the UMU professor, if "Is it the beginning of a definitive transformation in the way we relate, manage our emotions and face uncertain situations? Is there a way to incorporate technology into our lives properly without being detrimental to our social essence? "GASPAR BRÄNDLEGaspar Brändle.
