| During the meeting that took place this morning, the mayor recalled that it is a basic infrastructure for the development of the municipality | The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has participated in the meeting, which took place this Monday, November 9, on the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of Cartagena, which was also attended by the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, the Councilor for Development, José Ramón Diez de Revenga, Councilor for Business, Ana Martínez Vidal, President of the Development Institute, Diego Rodríguez-Linares, President of the Port Authority, Yolanda Muñoz, Director of Production of the Public Business Entity of the soil (Sepes), Cristina Álvarez, the president of the COEC, Ana Correa, and the president of the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martínez Bernal.During the meeting, the City Council has promised to streamline all the administrative procedures necessary for the Cartagena ZAL to become a reality as soon as possible.
“In this morning's meeting we have agreed to promote this infrastructure so basic for the development of the municipality, each one from our administration.
That is why I have reiterated the City Council's commitment to expedite all urban planning licenses that are within our competence so that, as soon as the transfer of the Integral Transportation Center and the Free Deposit to Los Camachos is given the green light, both infrastructures have the permits pertinent to begin to work ”, has indicated the first mayor.In this sense, Castejón has recalled that the acquisition of land has been a very complex procedure, as up to four administrations have intervened in it.
"Fortunately, both the SEPES and the Port Authority, the INFO and the City Council itself, we have found the ideal legal formula so that all administrations can safeguard our interests without hindering the start-up of this necessary infrastructure," he stated.Among the measures addressed at the ZAL table, the commitment by the Ministry of Business to include in the next budgets of the Development Institute for 2021 an item of two million euros, to run the Comprehensive Transportation Center, as well as the development of the free warehouse in the Polígono de los Camachos.
