| The Governing Board approves the measures within the Strategic Subsidy Plan 2020-2023 and in a proposal from the Councilor for Finance | The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved, at the proposal of the councilor for the Finance area, Esperanza Nieto, the Strategic Subsidy Plan for the years 2020-2023, where In addition to reflecting the entire series of aid granted annually by the council and the objectives pursued, the period for justifying them is made more flexible to facilitate their management. Thus, the plan extends from one month to three months the period of time that entities and associations have to justify the subsidy, starting from the end of the subsidy.
As Esperanza Nieto explained, this was a measure in high demand by the beneficiaries, since in some cases it was almost impossible to meet this deadline; on the contrary, the plan also foresees that in the event of non-compliance, the beneficiaries will no longer have priority in the processing of the granting of aid.The Board has also approved another measure that will improve agility and simplify the procedures for granting nominative aid to associations and non-profit organizations.
It is a framework agreement to which entities may voluntarily subscribe and which will avoid having to request reports from the municipal legal advisory and intervention, for approval.According to Nieto, the formalization of unique agreements and their peculiarities often entail delays due to the issuance of these reports.
By taking advantage of this framework agreement, the terms will be shortened and the beneficiaries will be able to access aid more quickly,
