| The Roman Forum neighborhood, the Castillos de la Concepción and the Casa de la Fortuna can be visited through spherical 360 photographs degrees | The Tourism Department of the Cartagena City Council has contracted the realization of 3 intelligent 360º virtual tours in emblematic places of the city, such as the Roman Forum Quarter, the Castillo de la Concepción and the Casa de la Fortuna, to reinforce the audiovisual content and virtual visits in online media and tourism networks, which now, due to the health crisis, are gaining more prominence than ever, as reported by the delegate councilor for Tourism, Cristina Pérez."Cartagena has a large network of museums and interpretation centers that we must continue to value and for this we are going to use online media and social networks to disseminate our tourist offer after the perimeter closure of the Region," he said.
Pérez, who stressed that "we want to continue promoting our archaeological, artistic and cultural heritage."The mayor explained that "these three virtual tours will be made up of 360º spherical photographs of the different parts that make up each of these three symbolic places in the city, such as the Roman Forum Quarter, the Castillo de la Concepción and the Casa de the Fortune".
Thus, in the Roman Forum Quarter, the virtual tour will include both the Temple of Isis, the Atrium building and the Baths; In the case of Castillo de la Concepción, the tour will include from the access in the panoramic elevator, the Keep, the wells, the viewpoints and the loopholes.In addition, "the tours will include calls of interest with information on interesting details of each of the spaces," said Pérez, such as the marks of the cars on the road in the Foro neighborhood, the wall paintings of the Casa de la Fortuna, or the armor and the peacocks in the Castillo de la Concepción, among others, "and will incorporate an interactive map to know where you are at all times."Cristina Pérez has highlighted that "the tours will be compatible with mobile devices and will also have the possibility of incorporating VR glasses for a more immersive experience, allowing us to interact and enjoy the place we are visiting virtually".On the other hand, a 360 terrestrial video has also been contracted that will give the view from the sea entering the port of Cartagena, to show elements of interest such as the Lighthouse and the Christmas Fort, as well as a perspective of the city.
