| José López: "The growth of the Polytechnic University is and will be that of Cartagena" | This morning, a working meeting took place between the municipal spokespersons of MC Cartagena, José López and Jesús Giménez, and the rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Beatriz Miguel. The meeting has been held at the headquarters of the University Rectorate and it is the first meeting of the Cartagena formation with Miguel since he was elected rector of the educational institution.
During the appointment, MC has reaffirmed its commitment to the Cartagena university, in addition to showing the rector its willingness to continue collaborating in responding to its needs and in meeting its future challenges. MC's commitment to the UPCT is undoubted.
Thus, in December 2015, under the Cartagena Mayor's Office of José López, a Research Chair was established for collaboration between the City Council and the UPCT in matters of mobility, urban planning and municipal infrastructures.
