The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure improves road safety in the so-called Ronda Transversal de Cartagena (RM-36), which has a traffic intensity of 14,795 vehicles per day.
The general director of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, explained that sections of the central and lateral median of this road will be concreted to prevent weeds from growing and to eliminate bushes that impede proper visibility for users."We act directly in the median to avoid the problems that for traffic and for road safety cause the actions of clearing and cleaning, both manual and mechanical, in this urban section that has a high traffic intensity," said the director, who indicated that once the surface has been cleaned in more than 2,000 square meters of median, a layer of concrete will be spread.
The performance will take place between kilometer 2.5 and 3.2, during the next 15 days.
