| The technicians of the Elderly Program have participated in the course "Planning of active and healthy aging in the time of Covid" in order to adapt and promote the programs of active aging in the pandemic | Technicians of the Program for the Elderly, have participated in the course: "Planning of active and healthy aging in the time of Covid", given by Leonor Gil Jareño, coordinator of Active and Healthy Aging Programs of Tunstall Televida, a company that manages the Telecare Service of the Department of Social Services, in order to adapt and promote active aging programs in the pandemic, while continuing to motivate our elders in this stage of adaptation that they are experiencing.The main objective of this course has been to promote and promote active and healthy aging even though the elderly are still at home, in order to give them the best for each of the team members, for which the management of emotions and teamwork, highlighting the importance of working in this line to be able to reach the elderly in the best possible way, "if one enjoys, the others will enjoy it and a great mark will be left on them." In a second part of this training, different formats and online resources have also been dealt with in order to plan and promote activities, tools for day-to-day professional life.Soon and in this same line, a second course will be held: "Basic notions of telephone accompaniment to elderly people in COVID 19", with a view to managing emotion and empathy in calls in the face of different situations that we find ourselves in this pandemic, and that It will be aimed at young volunteers from the Telecompaniment program, which was launched by the Department of Social Services to alleviate loneliness, fear and uncertainty in the elderly who live alone.
This training will also be given by the Telecare company Tunstall Televida, in order to provide these volunteers with the necessary tools for telephone communication with the elderly.
