The Plaza México, next to the Cartagena train station, has renewed its lighting with more sustainable and efficient lighting, within the planning that the Department of Infrastructure is carrying out in the main squares and intersections of the city to improve the public lighting and reinforce road safety.The councilor for the Infrastructure Area, María Casajús, explained that “24 high-pressure sodium vapor projectors of 250 watts have been replaced by four 600-watt led projectors that will reduce consumption by 70% and contribute to the modernization of lighting public to make it more efficient and sustainable.
"With an investment of 7,000 euros, within the public lighting maintenance contract, Casajús recalled that "said action was already carried out in the Plaza de Alicante and at the intersections of Paseo de Alfonso XIII with the streets Wssell de Guimbarda, Juan Fernández and Ramón y Cajal ".
