LED, as well as the signage and the adaptation of the altarpiece.“We are at a very important moment for the municipality.
We are now one step closer to recovering the Chapel of the Four Saints, owned by the municipality.
Once restored, we will feel even closer to our history ”, said Ana Belén Castejón.The project, which is included in the Participatory Budgets, consists, among other interventions mentioned above, in the execution of a wooden structure for the altarpiece, which has a composition formally similar to that of the original altarpiece.
At present, no original element of the altarpiece is preserved, which has prevented its anastylosis or reconstruction. The new altarpiece is formed by a base plane crowned by a semicircular pediment and five setbacks that make up the original niches, where the Virgen del Rosell were located and two others on each side where the four saints of the city were located (San Isidoro, San Leandro , Santa Florentina and San Fulgencio). On this flat base a vinyl wall covering will be placed, digitally printed in large format, with the only image of the altarpiece that is preserved, from 1930, guarded by the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain, dependent on the Ministry of Culture, having the authorization of said state body for its reproduction in the chapel. This will prevent any misinterpretation of it thanks to the use of photography, thus avoiding reproducing or reconstructing a false history.
