| At the request of the residents of the town, the City of Cartagena carries out the works to solve the unevenness and accessibility problems | The Department of Infrastructures of the Cartagena City Council is carrying out improvement actions in the two entrances to the Los Chaparros area, whose surface area covers 4,400 square meters.

The objective of these works is to solve the existing unevenness in the roads as well as the accessibility problems requested by the neighbors,“The works are being carried out in the two access sections to the Los Chaparros area.

At the entrance access, the water meters have been moved to expand the width of the road to 6 meters and guarantee the traffic of vehicles in both directions, "explained the councilor for the Infrastructure Area, María Casajús.The action is part of the maintenance contract for rural roads and railways.

Casajús highlighted that "it has been a request from residents who have been complaining for some time and to improve the accessibility of vehicles to the area."As for the other route, the mayor added that "the cleaning, clearing and reinforcement of the road have been carried out, leveling the ground.

The next step will be the contribution of gravel and double surface treatment as a finishing layer to leave it in good condition" , concluded the councilor.
