Aurora | The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón and the district mayor, David Martínez Noguera, have accompanied this morning the heads of the Neighborhood Board, the SAM Santa Cecilia and the La Aurora Theater Group, to verify the start of the studies geotechnical, prior to the start of the expansion works of the Pozo Estrecho School of Music.After the completion of these mandatory studies, work will begin on the first phase of this ambitious project which, once fully completed, will result in a new multidisciplinary center with an auditorium, rehearsal room, a dressing room area, adapted toilets for people with reduced mobility and a warehouse.As the mayor recalled, “for the Galileans this is a highly demanded project so, from the City Council, we have wanted its design to be agreed with all the groups of the town that are going to make use of this center.
Because for us the most important thing is that each space meets the necessary conditions for the use that is going to be given to it ”.This first phase of the project, which has a budget of 246,500 euros, includes the construction of a 227.50 square meter rehearsal room, a 10.35 square meter warehouse, toilets adapted for people with reduced mobility and a lobby.Once this work is finished and the groups can rehearse in this new building, work will begin on the next phase, which will consist of the construction of a 140-square-meter stage, a room for technical control, and a seating room.
