Specifically, these are two contracts, for which, within a month from the award date, the agents will have new bulletproof vests, regulation clothing and footwear, materials and gala suits.To this must be added the acquisition by the Citizen Security area of ??new footwear and gloves for the Local Police, which took place last September and which involved an investment of about 26,000 euros.
"The City Council of Cartagena is making a great effort to ensure that the agents of the municipality carry out their work in the best possible conditions and we will continue to do so because we believe that it results in a better service to citizens," said the Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba.The first contract consists of the purchase of 54 new bulletproof vests, as well as 8 covers for them, for an amount of 27,424 euros.As for the second, it is divided into 4 lots, the first for new regulatory footwear worth 2,964'50 euros; the second lot is for wardrobe with an investment of 62,385'18 euros; the third has a cost of 27,830 euros and consists of the purchase of materials necessary for the development of police work, such as shackles, whistles, fenders or belts; and the fourth is destined to the acquisition of new gala dresses worth 25,844'39 euros.
