| This Friday the Councilor for the Infrastructure Area, María Casajús, and the Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, have visited the place where the works are being undertaken | The Ministry of Development and Infrastructures have started the works that are going to be undertaken on the road that connects Cartagena with Mazarrón (RM-E22), with the aim of improving road safety in the area.The Councilor for the Infrastructure, Services and Coastal Area of ??the Cartagena City Council, María Casajús, and the Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, visited the works that are going to be undertaken this Friday, October 9, which will benefit more than 3,000 users who circulate on this section daily. The works consist of the installation of a double wave safety barrier with a length of 900 meters.
In addition, concrete will be poured under the barrier and on the shoulder to avoid the development of weeds that impede the visibility of the barrier and avoid manual clearing of the barrier, since this area presents a great difficulty of access for the conservation services of the roads.The general director of Roads explained that in addition to this work, his department will carry out an audit of road safety in the section, to determine if it is advisable to reinforce this action with others to improve signaling or beaconing.
This report will be completed before the end of this year.
