The Department of Health works to adopt the Public Health recommendations for All Saints' Day (07/10/2020)

The City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Health directed by the Deputy Mayor, Manuel Padín, has got down to work to adapt to the health recommendations set out in a guide prepared by the General Directorate of Public Health for the celebration of All Saints' Day, on November 1.In the first place, it is advisable to space out visits to cemeteries on the occasion of this holiday as much as possible in time, so as to avoid crowds.

In addition, Public Health establishes a series of measures that the city council will make effective in the municipal cemeteries during the coming weeks.Among them, the appointment of a Covid person in charge of planning and organizing access stands out, controlling the opening and closing hours so that entry and exit is done in a staggered manner, monitoring capacity and guaranteeing the minimum safety distance one and a half meters.Control systems will also be established by personnel, fencing or signage to facilitate access and movement of people through the cemetery, and hydroalcoholic gels will be placed at entrances and exits, remembering the requirement to use a mask at all times. In the event that the presence of covid-19 symptoms is detected in any person, the necessary measures will be taken immediately to avoid contagion, including the abandonment of the facilities. In addition to the recommendations addressed to municipalities, Public Health also includes in its guide measures for the population, especially people at risk and vulnerable groups, who will avoid the times of greatest influx of people, or those who present symptoms of the disease, they will not be able to visit cemeteries.Once inside the cemetery, you must respect the safety distance, avoid physical contact, do not make groups of more than six people, use the hydroalcoholic gel and do not leave containers with water, which could favor the proliferation of the tiger mosquito. With regard to visits to family pantheons, extreme precautions are requested, taking into account that the maximum number of non-cohabitants will be one person for every 4 square meters and that groups must not exceed the maximum number of members established in the regulations and must always keep the minimum safety distance of one and a half meters. Finally, with regard to the use of the toilets, the capacity will also be one person for every 4 meters and the maximum allowed must be indicated at the entrance.

They must be equipped with taps and a hand drying system that can be operated non-manually, dispensers with soap and water or hydroalcoholic gels or disinfectants and pedal bins with lids.
