| Access to basic services such as the doctor's office or educational centers is compromised by the insecurity on this road | MC Cartagena will demand, during the next municipal plenary session that will be held on the 29th of this month, that the local government adopt the necessary measures, after the necessary dialogue with the neighborhood entities, to improve the security of Manuel Bobadilla street in La Palma. It is intended, as stated by the councilor of the MC municipal group, Enrique Pérez, that "residents can make use of the public services that exist there with guarantees of security and accessibility." Manuel Bobadilla Street, in addition to being a connection to the west of La Palma, accumulates intense traffic due to the location of different public services such as the doctor's office, the library, school and institute and houses the market every Thursday, "question that leaves this street blocked with no possibility of entry or exit ". To all this must be added, according to the mayor of MC, "the narrowness of the road in the service area, which since this month also welcomes school transport, bus drivers suffering great difficulties in maneuvering before the space shortage.
" "The damage to neighbors is more than evident, with the risk of delays with serious consequences in access to any health emergency that must be treated in the medical office," Enrique Pérez explained. Likewise, the mayor recalled that in past months MC took an initiative to the Plenary of the Neighborhood Board of La Palma, which was approved by the rest of the groups, with the following resolution: "That the presidency of the Neighborhood Board convene different groups of the population: residents' association, seniors, housewives, AMPAS, health personnel, flea market association, as well as spokespersons for the political parties that make up the Neighborhood Board, to a consultative meeting to study the possibility of changing the location of the market weekly". For all these reasons, taking into account the worsening of the situation in Manuel Bobadilla street and the non-response of the summons by the presidency of the Neighborhood Council, in order to solve a problem that is of particular concern to the residents of La Palma, Enrique Pérez has advanced that "the MC Cartagena Group not only requests a change in the location of the market, as already stated in the Neighborhood Board, but also a better distribution of parking and mobility in the aforementioned street, thus achieving preferential accessibility for services existing, in addition to increasing police control at peak times of entry or exit of schoolchildren ".
