| The agreement maintains the guarantee of 15 extraordinary services per agent and goes from 24 to 26 locations for all police officers who decide to join the Regime of Special Availability (RED) | The proposed agreement for the new regime of extraordinary services in the Local Police presented by the municipal government has been approved this morning by the unions CSIF and SIME, it has obtained the abstention of CCOO and the opposite vote of UGT.
The negotiated document is based on a proposal by the CSIF union that the government has used as a starting point to unblock the lack of agreement on the new RED.The agreement maintains the guarantee of 15 extraordinary services per agent and goes from 24 to 26 locations for all police officers who decide to join the Special Availability Regime (RED).
“As we have increased the staff of Local Police, this agreement will allow us to get closer to the real needs of the Police throughout the year.
If it is necessary to add services, the agreement provides that any expansion must be proposed by the Headquarters, following professional criteria and always with a prior economic approval, ”said the Councilor for Finance and Personnel, Esperanza Nieto. The councilor recalled that economic circumstances force us to be particularly rigorous in personnel management and thanked the union for the unblocking.
“We must defend the rights of municipal workers, but we must not forget that we are working in a crisis situation.
That is why it is important that this document establishes that any extension must be proposed by professional criteria and always have financial supervision, so that Cartagena residents have the guarantee that the work done by their Police is not only what is needed, but, in addition, it is done because there are resources to face them ”.The proposal voted this morning by the union representatives will be submitted to the mandatory technical and economic reports that guarantee its viability before being taken for approval by the Local Government Board.
