| Both facilities will be integrated into the network of classrooms that the City Council started the last legislature and that already has those of El Algar, El Albujón and Pozo Estrecho | Students and opponents of La Palma and Molinos Marfagones will soon have two separate spaces where they can concentrate on their studies, thanks to the launch of two new study rooms, which will become part of the municipal network that the City Council of Cartagena started during the last legislature. The Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz, has stressed that "the intention of the Government team is to continue little by little extending the network of classrooms to the entire municipal term, especially in the county councils since that is where they need them most.
In any case, we are considering several locations to open another one in the city ”.These new classrooms will have about 18 study places each, will remain open 24 hours a day and will have a 24-hour video surveillance system.
As in the three existing classrooms, access control will be through a user card and both spaces will be connected to the municipal Wi-Fi network. It should be remembered that, two years ago, the City Council set out to create a network of study classrooms that began with the El Algar classroom and continued with those in El Albujón and Pozo Estrecho.
Since then, these study rooms have a total of 347 user cards throughout the municipality.Next openingWithin the authorization procedure that the City Council has initiated to reactivate the activities in the municipal social premises, study classrooms are also integrated.
Therefore, "once they are open and operating with all the health guarantees required by current regulations for COVID 19, we will also reopen the classrooms and users will be able to study here with complete peace of mind," said Irene Ruiz.
