| The project of actions for the course plans to modernize research facilities and technological innovations for telematics teaching | The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) contemplates in its project of actions for the 2020-21 academic year, presented today to the Senate by the general secretary, academic news and in terms of research infrastructures.
It is also expected to support the development of new bilingual itineraries.The UPCT will seek the fit of the European Technological University (Eut +) in the study plans, as well as begin to design joint degrees, masters and doctorates with the other seven European universities that share this international network with the Polytechnic of Cartagena.The telematic and blended teaching that has been implemented due to the health situation will be supported by regulatory updates and the development of new technological tools, such as software with learning analytics for continuous evaluation, the creation of interactive videos and the recording and virtualization of non-classroom practices.The Polytechnic will also increase its equipment for research with the expansion of the Hydraulic Laboratory, the creation of a new Microscopy laboratory and the installation of a vertical wind turbine connected to the electricity grid.Other new facilities planned are a scale model workshop at the CIM for students of Architecture and Building, the installation of Fablab in the old Club Santiago and the start of the project for a Water Museum on the Alfonso XIII Campus.
