| After the summer break, the Pacts Local Action Group meets to analyze different points of the Participatory Local Development Pact | The monthly meeting of the Local Action Group of the Pact has been held this week, online, to discuss different points about the Participatory Local Development Pact for the prevention of social exclusion in the neighborhoods of Los Mateos and Lo Campano, with the participation of six groups and associations of those neighborhoods, in addition to municipal technicians. Among the points discussed are the progress on the participatory diagnosis of the area that will begin before the end of the year, the presentation of the Pact logo resulting from the competition held before the summer, the approval of the Communication and Dissemination Plan, and the information related to the implementation during this month of September in the Lo Campano neighborhood of the Barrios-ADLE program, which is the first occupational training action of those foreseen in the framework of the Pact.The Local Participatory Pact for the prevention of social exclusion in the Los Mateos and Lo Campano neighborhoods is a project that is characterized by the fact that it is developed within the neighborhoods, together with their neighbors and their associations through their coordinators, as highlighted the vice mayor and head of Social Care, Noelia Arroyo.
“The success of this project depends on our being able to involve residents and involve them in decision-making.
Fortunately, municipal workers have a long experience in the neighborhoods and, above all, with the help of organizations with deep roots in the area and with enormous knowledge of its social reality ”.The meeting was attended by the coordinators of associations from Los Mateos and Lo Campano, the Fundación Tienda Asilo San Pedro, Cáritas de Lo Campano and Los Mateos, Rascasa, Acción Familiar, the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Mar, and by the City Council of Cartagena, the Department of Education, Equality and Social Services and the Agency for Local Development and Employment, as well as 7 Imagination, which is the technical assistance of the Autonomous Community for the project.PARTICIPATORY LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PACTThe Participatory Local Development Pact for the prevention of social exclusion in the neighborhoods of Los Mateos and Lo Campano is an action financed by the European Social Fund, through the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, and which also has co-financing from the Cartagena City Council.The Local Action Group of the Pact is in charge of dynamizing the actions of the project, and brings together professionals from the two administrations involved, technical staff from third sector entities that work in the area and representation of local groups, in this case through the coordinators of associations of both neighborhoods.
