| With this action they make it difficult for hundreds of workers to vote | Yesterday the general table was constituted that will be the sovereign body in the electoral process of civil servant and labor personnel of the Cartagena City Council. CCOO, as it did in the previous elections, requested, as the law indicates, an itinerant polling station which would travel through all City Council work centers to facilitate the vote of colleagues located in other work centers such as : OMITAS, schools, nursery schools, social work units, coastal services etc ... This voting modality is used in hundreds of companies and institutions, which prevents hundreds of workers from traveling around the city who are going to exercise their right to vote, as well as crowds at a single polling station, with the added inconvenience of complying with the rules and restrictions imposed by COVID 19. To all this we must add a particularly sensitive group that is the nursery school, which does not work with papers or machines, it works with boys and girls.
A strict protocol with coexistence groups has been imposed on this group, which, at CCOO, we believe would better follow their guidelines with the traveling ballot box. The government team used as an excuse to say no to the itinerant ballot box that there was a prevention report which indicated that it was more harmful to carry out the itinerant ballot box traveling to each center, than all the workers in the work centers.
They will move to the table that will be located in the San Miguel building.
CCOO requested this report and today they have not yet provided it to us.
