The Government of López Miras has condemned the Region to an uncoordinated return to the classroom, without resources and without sufficient teachers.
Despite the more than 100 million that the central government has allocated to the Region for extra expenses in education due to COVID, the regional government has not yet said what it is going to spend them on, or the money it is going to invest from the budget Regional. The Socialist Youth of Cartagena together with the Socialist Party have launched a campaign to demand a safe return to school, in which the educational community has the greatest possible security, avoid contagions and outbreaks and in the event that they occur, that control be as large as possible. In the Region of Murcia, the Regional Government has been characterized by the lack of planning and continuous improvisation when designing the return to school for this month of September that occurs within the framework of the second wave of the virus, ignoring the entire educational community teachers, teachers, students and families.
Contrary to what other autonomous communities have done, under the leadership of the Government of Asturias, the Valencian Community or Galicia. The only proposals of the López Miras government have been to leave 20% of the students without class every day of the week outside the classrooms, preventing the reconciliation of personal and family life and maintaining the ratios of students per classroom, which prevents a correct control in a positive case.
Since those students who must stay without going to class, they will be together with other students who do not belong to their group.
For this reason, we demand that you present the report of the experts that endorses this measure and places us as the only Community that has taken it. Given the refusal of the Regional Government to take forceful measures to stop the pandemic in the classrooms and manage, the Socialist Youth of Cartagena together with the Socialist Party demand from López Miras that: 1500 full-time teachers be hired, classrooms be unfolded and the " isolation "of groups of students and allow students to go to class 5 school days a week. "It is not understandable how the Regional Government limits the number of occupants in a car to three, reduces to 6 people who can sit at the same table in a bar or 15 people in wakes, and maintains more than 20 students per classroom "they affirm from Socialist Youths. For this reason, JSRM and the PSRM propose that together with the 2.5 million from the PROA Program, the 7 million from the digitization program and the millions that will come from the increase in scholarships to students by the central government, the 74 million that the central government has also sent for extra expenses to be complemented with regional money and to guarantee access to education that leaves no one behind.
