| The works, with a six-month execution period, will renovate the entire area with wooden elements, a sanitation network, lighting and drinking water, as well as children's games with dinosaur theme | The remodeling works of Parque Sauces have already been put out to tender.

The project, highly demanded by the residents of the area, will allow the reform of pavements, trees and facilities, and the assembly of a children's play area that will transport the little ones to the past with a dinosaur theme.The works, with an execution period of six months from the day following the signing of the stakeout verification certificate, have an amount of 262,708.19 euros.

In this way, the works will consist of the installation of benches and flower beds, fences and wooden benches; the placement of wooden pilasters for the playground and textured letters for the park entrance; in addition to the installation of the public lighting network, drinking water, sanitation and fountain, and pavement of different types, including shock absorbing pavement, which guarantees the safety of the little ones.Likewise, the project includes the placement of a perimeter hedge, children's games and figures that will follow the theme of dinosaurs, benches, wastebaskets and picnic tables.The deadline for submitting projects is now open and will last until September 30.

In addition, it will contribute to combat unemployment in the municipality of Cartagena, since the specifications contemplate the hiring, by the winning company, of a percentage equal to or greater than 50% of the workforce that has to execute the contract."With these works we respond to the need to provide this area of ??our city with a recreation area equipped for the population," said the Councilor for Public Roads, Juan Pedro Torralba.The remodeling works of this park already began in 2019 but had to be stopped after detecting technical problems in its execution and that have already been resolved in the new specifications.“At last, this project that neighbors have requested so much comes forward and that will allow both children and adults to enjoy this outdoor space in the heart of Cartagena.

The winning company will have a six-month deadline to complete the works, so the remodeling of this park will be a reality very soon ”, he stressed.This is not the only park that the Cartagena City Council renews during 2020.

Thus, over the next few weeks, other green areas of the municipality will be welcomed and inaugurated, such as the park on Calle Lobo de El Algar or the Plaza from the Peñas de La Palma.
