The CHS has acted in certain channels of the municipality of Cartagena on the occasion of emergency works, specifically, it has executed the Motas Repair Lot and section restitution.
Ámbito Mar Menor, with an award budget of € 824,600.00, which is currently completed.Acting was carried out mainly on the Albujón, La Carrasquilla and Benipila boulevards in the TM of Cartagena, and the typology of actions was the elimination of dragging of vegetation and accumulated material after the avenue, repair and reinforcement of motes damaged by DANA, replacement of gabion walls, and adaptation of steps in boulevards.Regarding the execution of the order to TRAGSA to carry out conservation, maintenance and actions to improve longitudinal connectivity in the Public Hydraulic Domain within the scope of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation, term 24 months and budget of 8 Million Euros, started in the TM of Cartagena last AugustThrough this contract, the first actions that are being carried out consist of clearings that allow increasing the hydraulic capacity of the channels to minimize the risk of flooding during the cold drop period.In particular, in the Municipal District of Cartagena, action is being taken in the following boulevards:Barranco de Ponce: clearing actions and waste removal.
Currently concludedBarranco de la Carrasquilla: clearing actions and waste removal.
Running since August 13Rambla del Albujón: actions of clearing and removal of waste, between the delivery of the D7 to the mouth.
It is also acting on the D7 itselfRambla del Miedo: clearing actions in the surroundings of El Algar.
Running since September 9.Rambla de Miranda: clearing actions and clearing of obstructions.
It will start shortly.It has been estimated that these boulevards are the ones with the worst condition.
It should be borne in mind that during August and September action is being taken in more than thirty points throughout the basin, and therefore it has been necessary to prioritize action points to attend to the most urgent with the available means.Work is still being done on scheduling the works for subsequent months, so the Confederación's actions will not be limited to the aforementioned boulevards but may be extended to other points of interest.Finally, it should be mentioned that the Instruction of the Secretary of State for the Environment has recently been transferred to the Town Councils for the development of conservation, protection and recovery actions in waterways of public hydraulic domain in the territorial scope of the Hydrographic Confederations, by which they are established a series of criteria for the application of current regulations in relation to actions in waterways in the Public Hydraulic domain.
Specifically, it indicates that the competent authorities in spatial planning and urban planning will be in charge of carrying out actions for the maintenance and conservation of riverbeds, defense and protection of banks against flooding.Said actions will be subject to the prior authorization regime attributed to the Hydrographic Confederations by virtue of their powers in the administration and control of the DPH.
