| It will be this Saturday, at 12.30 pm, showing unpublished images | The artist José Carlos Ñíguez will carry out this Saturday, September 12, at 12:30 p.m., a guided visit to his exhibition Hidden Look, where he will show his special gaze on a building rescued from antiquity, the Roman Theater of Cartagena, offering unpublished images of the same.The artist has worked on the creative project for more than a year, focusing his lens on these stone elements, which, torn from the bowels of the earth, were carved by artisans and stonemasons from another era.
Those ancient stones from the Roman Theater and those works from its ornamental program exhibited in the Museum have been the source of inspiration for Mirada Oculta.The exhibition brings together more than fifty photographs of great artistic quality that, transferred to cotton paper, reflect the emotions and sensations of the author, turning the photographic work almost into a pictorial canvas.José Carlos Ñíguez (Cartagena, autumn 1954).
He is a Doctor of Medicine, Specialist in Pediatrics.
His connection with photography began in the eighties in a self-taught way, although it was from 2007 that he decided to bring his work to light.
He has obtained numerous national and international awards and has participated in group and solo exhibitions.
His works are in numerous public and private collections.Health is a priority for the Museum, which is why cleaning has been reinforced.
Hydroalcoholic gel and hygienic bins are available.
The use of masks is mandatory for the visit.The capacity of the activity is limited to 20 people, following the regulations and compliance with safety distances.
