| The deadline for submitting offers will remain open until September 30 | The Department of Urbanism, headed by the mayor Ana Belén Castejón, has put out to tender the digital cartography of the municipal district of Cartagena for a total amount of 984,335 euros and an execution period of 18 months."This is a fundamental step for the drafting of the General Urban Planning Plan, which is a basic tool for the development of our municipality", highlighted the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.The deadline for submitting bids ends on September 30 and on October 7, the documentation that has been submitted to proceed with the award will be opened.The objective of the Government team is to take advantage of the autumn to carry out the award procedure since the high amount of the contract is expected to generate the interest of many bidders.The flights necessary to map the municipality will be made by drones and for the result to have the necessary quality, they are carried out in the months with the greatest light intensity, which are those between March and September.

For this reason, the tender was delayed, since the confinement prevented the processing from meeting the deadlines set for the flights to be made at the right time.The objective of the Government team is that the new General Urban Planning Plan be a consensual and participatory document, and that it be approved throughout the current legislature since the current plan that directs the urban planning of the Municipality dates from 1987 and, in many respects it is obsolete.
