The Department of Infrastructures of the Cartagena City Council has carried out, in recent weeks, the cleaning and maintenance works of the urban sections of the boulevards of the municipality to avoid collapses due to accumulation of waste and weeds and have everything prepared for possible episodes of cold drop in September, and has required the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) to clean the boulevards that are within its competence.The councilor of the Area, María Casajús, said that “from the City Council we have done our work to have the cleaning and conditioning of the channels of the municipal boulevards that are our responsibility in the face of heavy rains.
In addition, for better coordination, we have submitted several letters to the CHS to know the state of cleanliness of the boulevards that are within its competence and that if it has not been done, inform the deadline and planning to ensure that they are in good condition before possible DANAS ”.Casajús has highlighted that "in the writings we have detailed the work that must be carried out and we have demanded that if they are not going to do it, that they authorize us so that we can execute it in a subsidiary way."The planning done by Infrastructures has allowed during the month of August the Rambla de Trujillo and del Miedo in El Algar have been cleaned and conditioned; the Rambla de Perín; the Rambla de Media Legua; the Rambla del Cobre; the Rambla de Canteras, next to the Hospital Naval, the Rambla de Tentegorra and the Rambla de Benipila in the Mediterranean urbanization.“The work continues”, said Casajús, who has indicated that “at the moment they are carrying out the work on the Rambla de Pozo de Los Palos, to continue with the Rambla de El Albujón and at the beginning of next week they will continue with the Rambla de Benipilia as it passes through the city ”.
