| The municipal aid will be transferred to the club so that it can manage it directly so that the reforms are finalized before the start of the season | The City Council will contribute to the activity of the Futbol Club Cartagena in the Second Division with a direct contribution of 150,000 euros, 24,000 euros more than in the previous season, and, in addition, it will carry out works in the stadium worth 600,000 euros, according to explained the vice mayor and head of the Sports Area, Noelia Arroyo.This amount will be transferred to the club so that it hires them directly and can shorten the execution deadlines, so that the reforms imposed by the League are finalized before the start of the season.The president of FC Cartagena, Francisco Belmonte, has announced that the direct subsidy offered by the municipal government will also be allocated entirely by the team to works in the stadium, so that the modernization works in the municipal building will have a budget of 750,000 euros.Arroyo stressed that the agreement between the club and the Government consists of "the municipal aid remaining in a municipal facility for the enjoyment of all and, in this way, we all win." The vice mayor recalled that the stadium is a municipal building that needs improvement and maintenance works, which are more urgent now because the Football League has raised them as a requirement.The content of the agreement, negotiated in recent weeks between the Government and the club, has been finalized this Tuesday, August 11 at a meeting held by Belmonte and Arroyo, in which it has been decided to formalize the pact through an addendum to the transfer agreement of use of the stadium, signed last November and it is planned that the financial contribution will be divided into two installments of 375,000 euros, which will be released under the current budget and next year.The works that are planned for execution are those corresponding to the conditioning of the lawn, the public toilets, the referee and visitor changing rooms, and the VAR and anti-doping control rooms.Also included in the estimate are the conditioning of the press booths and the installation of platforms for retransmissions; in addition to the protection of the pit by means of a network and other works that will improve the habitability, security and image of the stadium.
