| The Youth Council disseminates videos on social networks and posters to sensitize adolescents about the importance of maintaining security measures in their moments of leisure | Raise awareness among young people in Cartagena about the importance of preventing new Covid-19 infections.
This is the objective of several campaigns launched by both the state and regional administrations to which the Youth Council of the Cartagena City Council has adhered and which seek to sensitize adolescents to respect health safety measures, regarding everything, in their moments of leisure during the summer. Thus, the Ministry of Health has expanded its campaign 'Do not throw it overboard' with a video on social networks that invites young people to continue to respect safety measures to reduce infections.
Thus, the campaign asks young people to reduce the number of people in their leisure events and bet on the 'three m': use a mask, hand hygiene and maintain a distance of one and a half meters. On the other hand, the Ministry of Health has launched the campaign 'For love, what would you do ...?', Which presents young people enjoying new situations with close people: with family, friends and at night time leisure.
Through striking videos on social networks and posters that can be seen on street furniture, the campaign will seek to remind adolescents that the best way to protect their loved ones is to protect themselves from possible infections.“There are many young people who have become aware of the situation we are experiencing, respect the protection measures and maintain a safe distance, use the mask and follow proper hand hygiene, which is the most effective way to be protected against Covid- 19 ”, has pointed out the Councilor for Youth, David Martínez.“The vast majority of our young people are showing extraordinary awareness and maturity and have adapted to the new situation we are experiencing; We are very grateful to all of them for their responsibility, which is essential to contain the outbreaks that we are suffering throughout Spain, but we must not relax, but continue to respect all these security measures to protect ourselves and our loved ones ”, assured the councilor.
