| It will house the dependencies of the Tourism, Commerce, Health and Consumption Area that is directed by Deputy Mayor Manuel Padín | The reform works in the Tourism Office of the Gates of San José have started this Tuesday, July 21, with the supervision of the councilman of the area, Manuel Padín, and the delegate councilor Cristina Pérez, together with the operators of the company in charge of the works, Restauralia, and the municipal technician responsible for the construction project.The objective of this action is to enable the facilities to host the headquarters of the area led by the Deputy Mayor, Manuel Padín.To carry out the reform, the offices will remain closed during the works.
In order to facilitate the work and not hinder the attention to the citizens, the service will continue to be provided in the Consistorial Palace office to obtain any tourist information, as well as in the centers of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.Councilman Manuel Padín explained that it is "a commitment to recover a building as emblematic as that of the Gates of San José to serve citizens and to demonstrate the immense heritage that our municipality has."The works will be carried out during the summer and the forecast is that after the summer period the transfer to the new offices can be arranged.
