| This Monday, the councilor for the area, Irene Ruiz, has toured the different stages where the activities are taking place | The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena is developing its leisure activities in natural areas aimed at children from 6 to 12 years old that are held throughout the month of July.Due to the health crisis marked by Covid-19, the Department suspended the Summer Schools that were held during the months of July and August in various educational centers in the municipality, "since there was no clear and specific protocol" as explained the councilor of the area, Irene Ruiz.The mayor has visited on Monday morning the different scenarios where the various activities offered with the Department are being carried out.
Despite the current situation, Ruiz affirmed that "from the Department we have known how to react, adjust to the current moment and to the guidelines that the Regional Administration and the State Administration were setting at all times".The activities that are being developed are free and take place in an urban park, in rural areas and on the coast.
The mayor explained that "the Ministry of Education gave us instructions, and the best option was to carry out activities in environments natural outdoors and that is what we have done, we have chosen three different scenarios: the Aljo Mayor Vallejo Alberola Park, next to the Cartagonova stadium, the Regatta Club and the Dos Mares Nautical Club "."Various activities are being carried out with different objectives, but if they have something in common it is that we are going to guarantee that schoolchildren from 6 to 12 years old have moments of fun, an opportunity for leisure and, above all, being able to cover the family reconciliation that in these moments become precise ", concluded Irene Ruiz.ACTIVITIES1.
Fun in an urban park:The activities are carried out outdoors, in the facilities of the Parque Mayor Vallejo Alberola next to the Cartagonova stadium.2.
Fun in the rural environment:The activities are carried out outdoors, in the facilities of La Granja Escuela El Almendrico in Rincón de Galifa, on the Portús road.3.
Fun between two seas:The activities are carried out outdoors, in the facilities of the Dos Mares Nautical Club, next to the Cala del Pino de la Manga del Mar Menor.4.
