| The exhibition, which opened on February 13 and was scheduled until April 12, had to be interrupted due to the health crisis | The 'Nicomedes Gómez' Subjective Room of the Cartagena City Council, aimed at promoting young Cartagena artists, reopens its doors and continues with the exhibition 'The photographer's cave: Infinite identity', by Cartagena artist María Garberí.
The exhibition, which opened on February 13 and was scheduled until April 12, had to be interrupted due to the health crisis. In 'The photographer's cave: Infinite identity', which can be visited during the months of July and August, the young author wanted to break with different accessibility barriers, transcribing into braille all the history of the artistic installation with the collaboration of ONCE .The Youth Department chose this sample since it is a visual work based on portrait photographs collected from among a hundred negatives found in a cave, trying to give meaning, through small stories, to what had been stripped of all identity and had become waste and dust.
This project was formalized as a small typewritten book that collected each of these stories along with its corresponding photographic negative; On this occasion, the author invites us to read and / or listen to them. The work of María Garberí, born in Cartagena 21 years ago, is mainly based on conceptual and archival projects not identified with any specific style or technique, since what really interests her is artistic creation and research within the different modes of do.VISITING SCHEDULEThe hours and days established to visit the exhibition will be as follows:From Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m.
