This unavoidable appointment with urban art will take place on November 14, within the activities planned for the celebration of the XII edition of the Night of Museums.The realization of this event was scheduled for the UrbanCTFest Festival of Culture and Urban Sport, which has been canceled due to the current health situation.For the councilor for Youth, David Martínez Noguera, “the National Graffitti League was created with the aim of bringing the general public closer to this discipline that turns our streets into true works of art, as if it were a great open-air museum.
, thus breaking with the unfortunate stigma of vandalism.
Precisely for this reason, we believe that the scheduled date for the celebration of the Night of the Museums fits perfectly with this event, in which we will enjoy the artistic work of ten of the best artists classified in the two modalities foreseen in the League: Graffiti and StreetArt ”.The artistic development of the ten classifieds, coming from different points throughout the national territory, will be the wall provided for this purpose by each edition of the UrbanCtFest at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, and to which will be added 4 more artists proposed by the culture program UrbanCt.SUSPENSION OF THE URBAN CULTURE FESTIVAL, URBANCTFEST After the health alert declared in recent months, the Department of Youth decided to suspend the Festival of Culture and Urban Sport, UrbanCTFest since the applicable health measures could not be guaranteed due to its national and participatory nature.The urban culture program UrbanCt is working, if sanitary conditions allow it, in an event adjusted to the new normality that allows the artistic work of all those artists who participated in the Instagram live shows carried out during the confinement.
