| There is a commitment to reduce CO2 emissions by 40 percent by 2030 | The companies of the municipality of Cartagena will collaborate with the City Council of Cartagena with reforestation and revegetation actions in the fight against climate change, offsetting the carbon footprint, which will be integrated into the actions to be carried out in the municipality of hand of the associations, has informed the councilor delegate for European Projects and Sustainable City, Cristina Mora, at the Table of Reforestation held this morning on Thursday, June 18, in the City of Cartagena.Mora assured that "the involvement of the associations and companies of the municipality has allowed reaching agreements to carry out reforestation and revegetation actions that will favor the fight against climate change and mitigate the increase in temperatures, fulfilling the commitments to reduce 40 percent CO2 emissions by 2030 ”and highlighted“ the coordination and synergies to give sustainability to all the environmental projects included in the Master Plan for Reforestation ”.Among the agreements, the councilor has announced the participation of FCC Business, made up of more than 160 companies, which will carry out the reforestation of more than 300 Aleppo pines in the youth hostel of Canteras, as well as, the Table has accepted the association's proposal ARBA, with the European Project Life Trench, to create a green belt around the entire Cartagena coastline.

For this, the collaboration of the associations that are already working in the area has been requested to seek synergies that allow completing the entire coast from Isla Plana to Cabo de Palos.In addition, CreceT has presented its Poseidonia project, through the Biodiversity Foundation, for the reforestation of the seabed as an important CO2 collector, as well as with ANSE, to adapt existing green areas and guarantee the conservation of pollinators.On the other hand, the Bureau has reported that all the plots are already registered to enable a municipal land bank, where the Castillo de Los Moros is integrated, opposite the Hospital de Santa Lucía, in the surroundings of the Cabezo Beaza, Cabezo ventura, next to the Rambla Benipila, Alumbres cemetery and next to the sports center, in Cabo de Palos, near Salinas Marchamalo and Playa Honda.
