For this reason, the concessionaire company of the urban transport service of Cartagena, ALSA, has joined this initiative.This Thursday, June 18, the director director of Alsa in the Mediterranean, Valeriano Díaz, and the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, have met at the Town Hall to sign the collaboration agreement with the aim of giving visibility to the municipality as tourist destination. The director of Alsa in the Mediterranean, Valeriano Díaz, explained that "a great showcase that Alsa has are the buses and I have committed to Ana Belén to enhance Cartagena in all of Spain." Thus, the transport company will provide 45 buses throughout the national network labeled with images of Cartagena.
In addition, through its website and social networks, it will recommend the municipality as a tourist destination, with an advertising contribution of approximately 28,000 euros.The mayor explained that from the City Council they contacted all the large companies, the concessionaires and the schools of the municipality to make visible "Cartagena as a safe and first-class tourist destination", a campaign that has been widely received by companies in the municipality, Alsa being one of the first to join the campaign."We have tried to put all the resources for the reactivation of tourism in the entire municipality," said Castejón, while stressing that "one of the initiatives that has been a pioneer in the Region is the purchase by the City Council of 1,000 bonds of hotel that is being managed from Cartagena Puerto de Culturas ".
The mayor explained that from the City Council it is time to "encourage companies in the municipality to help us stimulate their workers and suppliers to come to Cartagena."
