| The offices of Isla Plana, Los Puertos de Santa Bárbara, Perín, Tallanta, Los Urrutias, El Llano del Beal and Alumbres will shortly open to the public progressive | The City Council of Cartagena and Area II of Health work together to open seven more clinics in the municipality, guaranteeing the safety and prevention of infections, both from neighbors and from health professionals.The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, accompanied by the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and the councilor for Decentralization, Diego Ortega, met today with the general director of the CARM Health Area, Inmaculada Barceló; the medical deputy director of Healthcare Continuity of Area II of Health, Pilar Espejo; and with the medical director of the Health Area, Carmen Santiago, to analyze the situation of the different clinics and set the date for their opening."The residents of the municipality need the best health care.

For this reason, health centers and clinics that meet the necessary requirements to guarantee safety and avoid infections, both among patients and among health personnel, have been gradually opening up.

There were still some clinics to open that are located in areas where the average age of the population is high and their mobility is low, or in areas where there will be a population increase during the summer months, such as those in Alumbres, El Llano del Beal or Perín.

We have asked the council to give us an answer and it has been immediate, ”explained the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.For her part, Inmaculada Barceló recalled that “in health centers, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, a significant percentage of patient follow-ups have been carried out through telephone calls from their doctors with a high satisfaction rate ”.In this new phase, Primary Care will continue to promote telematic consultations, consultations through the Patient Portal, scheduled and telephone consultations, and non-face-to-face consultations to avoid the accumulation of patients in waiting rooms, while promoting home visits.

."It is essential that residents use the appointment, calling their health centers or through the Patient Portal.

In most cases it is not even necessary to go to the health center.

If prescriptions are needed, doctors can provide them electronically and can be obtained at any pharmacy.
