| The works are framed within the maintenance tasks of the municipality's sewage network, carried out by the Hidrogea concessionaire, with an execution budget of 10,825 euros | The Cartagena City Council, through the Hidrogea concessionaire and within the maintenance works of the municipality's sewage network, is carrying out the improvement of the unitary sewage and rainwater network on the Cuesta de la Baronesa and the street Ossuary, next to the Old Cathedral, whose execution budget is € 10,825.The reason for the works is the scarcity of this network for the collection and evacuation of the rains.
It currently consists of a 90 mm diameter corrugated PVC section and another 160 mm mass concrete section.
In addition, other drawbacks of the network is the layout of the pipeline from Calle Osario to the Cuesta de la Baronesa, since it has a 90-degree elbow that hinders the good circulation of water. Given the problems raised, it has been considered necessary to replace the current network with a new one made of PVC with a diameter of 315 mm and to execute a manhole to eliminate the 90º elbow, thus expanding the capacity of the pipe for collecting rainwater.
.PLAYSThe work consists of the installation of 56 linear meters of sewage collector in smooth PVC tiles 315 millimeters in diameter along the same line as the current network.
For this, it is necessary to disassemble the existing railing on the Cuesta de la Baronesa so that the mini backhoe can access to carry out the earthworks necessary for the execution of the trench. The trench excavation will have a depth between 0.50 and 070 meters and a maximum width of 0.80 meters.
The existence of rock in the total in such excavation is anticipated. The filling of said trench consists of a 6/12 millimeter gravel base that serves as a bed for the pipe, 10 centimeters thick and sheltered up to 10 centimeters above the pipeline key.
On top of the gravel layer, it will be filled with ZA-25 ??artificial gravel extended and compacted until reaching 98% of the Modified Proctor. The crowning of the trench will be carried out using a HM-20 concrete slab 10 centimeters thick, replacing with “Cabezo Gordo” marble stone. In addition, three manholes will be made, moving the starting box to the point where the 90º elbow is currently located, to eliminate it and incidentally make the angle of change of direction of these pipes much smoother.
