| The winner of the five selected novels will be announced during the conference, held in September | The Cartagena Negra Novel Festival, organized by the Cartagena City Council together with a promoter group, will take place this year on September 10, 11 and 12 at the Batel.
The organizing team already has the finalists of the fourth edition, whose delivery will take place during the closing of the conference, on September 12.Five have been the novels selected from among the numerous titles presented, of a broad thematic spectrum within the black genre and fulfilling the requirement of having been published during the year 2019.The finalists of the IV Cartagena Negra Novel Prize are the following:• The last boat, Domingo Villar• The lords of smoke, Claudio Cerdán• The melody of darkness, Daniel Fopiani• Those who do not love die before, Inés Plana• The idiot's sanity, Marto ParienteOn the other hand, the Icue Negro Award has been called again, whose purpose is to highlight the work of debutant authors in the genre, or of works little known among the general public, thus offering these authors recognition in their creative facet.The finalists of this second edition of the Icue Negro Novel Prize are:• The six letters, Eduardo Oller• Masterpiece, Lucía Santamaría Nájara• The demon of Laplace, Jon Aramendía Huarte• The noise that separates us, Pedro ArandaBoth awards, which have the collaboration of the Cartagena City Council, in addition to recognizing the merit of the selected authors, also aim to contribute to the dissemination and consolidation of these days dedicated to the black genre in the city of Cartagena.During the celebration of the same, the names of the winners will be made public.
