| The works, for which it will have a million and a half euros, will last until 2023 | The Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia publishes today, Saturday, June 13, the decree that regulates the transfer of the 1,568,000 euros with which the Cartagena City Council will withdraw, between this year and 2023, the fiber cement from the first 10 centers schoolchildren collected in plan of the Ministry of Education.As explained by the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz, "the decree of delegation of powers covers until 2023, although the schedule for the removal of fiber cement from our educational centers is much broader, since it will last until 2027 and will include intervention in 32 centers of the municipality with a total investment of close to 5 million euros ”.To give greater flexibility to the works, the City Council will manage the drafting of the projects and the subsequent execution of the removal and replacement works of the roofs containing fiber cement in schools.Following the fixed schedule, the Department of Education will carry out in the first biennium the works of the CEIP of La Concepción, Virgen del Carmen, Antonio Ulloa, San Isidoro, Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, Santa Florentina and Carthago.
Between 2022 and 2023, works will be carried out in the Barriada Virgen de la Concepción, Los Mateos and Lo Campano schools.For its part, the Ministry will carry out directly in this period the works of the IES Juan Sebastián Elcano, Santa Lucía, Feliciano Sánchez and the nursery school of Los Dolores.
The first work, already planned by CARM, will be the removal of CEIP José María Lapuerta fiber cement.The decree provides for the transfer of a batch of 478,000 euros for this year and the rest spread over three other annuities, up to one and a half million.
The losses that may be generated in the awards must be used in maintenance works of the municipal network of educational centers.
