| The capacity will be restricted to a maximum of 150 people and the use of a mask will be mandatory | The municipal cemeteries of Cartagena recover their usual schedule from tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10, once the municipality of Cartagena, along with the rest of the Region, have entered Phase 3 of de-escalation with respect to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus. This has been determined from the Department of Health, led by Manuel Padín, and has been transferred to the boards of directors of the four municipally-owned cemeteries: San Ginés de la Jara, Alumbres, San Antón and Santa Lucía.
However, despite the fact that each cemetery will recover its usual hours, the maximum capacity will be 150 people, with the aim of maintaining the social distance of two meters recommended by the health authorities.Likewise, the use of a mask will be mandatory for anyone who accesses the facilities.Regarding the celebration of burials and funerals, the rule issued by the central government states that a maximum of 50 people will be allowed, which will not be taken into account for the general computation of the cemetery. The Councilor for Health has stressed that this measure seeks to "allow citizens to visit their loved ones with a certain normality", although he stressed that "we cannot neglect ourselves and think that everything has already been overcome and that is why we have maintained some restrictions and the mandatory use of a mask ”.
