| This declaration is a recognition of the effort made up to now by the company, while forcing compliance with the highest environmental requirements | The Ministry of Environment of the Autonomous Community has granted the NAVANTIA Dock in Cartagena the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI), which is a recognition of the exhaustive effort made in the company in environmental matters in recent years, while forcing to reinforce compliance with the highest environmental and technological requirements in its processes, in order to further reduce its environmental impact. The process for the granting of this declaration began in 2015, with the initial request for granting the AAI before the Environmental Discipline Management Service of the aforementioned Ministry.

After a lengthy process of data collection, updating and verification of all the processes and activities carried out in the Cartagena Dock, on May 28, 2020, the final resolution was published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) with the granting of said authorization. The processes that take place in these facilities have been evaluated and integrated, based on the different Sectoral Authorizations that Navantia had (emissions to the atmosphere, noise, soil contamination, discharges to the sea, discharges to the sewerage, etc ...) in a single document, which brings together the guidelines and legal requirements to be carried out.

The industrial, environmental and legal implications required of it make it necessary and essential for all workers to participate, led by Senior Management, which in turn has followed and supported the AAI's track record of obtaining it. For NAVANTIA, this is a very important step since it supposes an endorsement of the environmental commitment developed in the Cartagena Dock, both from the business point of view, through the application of the requirements of the regulations, but also from the point of View of the social environment, with the carrying out of environmental volunteer actions, carbon footprint compensation, participation in the Mobility Table of the Cartagena City Council, or in other business forums.
