”The Municipal Neighborhood Board of Perín is committed to a General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) for our municipality that collects in an orderly manner the neighborhood proposals presented in the Citizen Participation Program (PPC).The new PGOU must be that tool that finds a solution to the existing problem between the environment, the public administration and the neighborhoods of the population of western Cartagena, establishing a detailed urban planning for its rural population centers, in perfect balance with measures aimed at preserving the environment.The west of Cartagena has demonstrated its resilience over time, conserving its identity, its ethnological wealth and the landscape, basing its economy on traditional activities related to the primary sector.The new PGOU of the municipality of Cartagena must provide the western zone of Cartagena with measures aimed at the development of emerging and sustainable activities such as rural tourism, nature tourism, sports tourism, the promotion of renewable energy and the carrying out of activities compatible ecological, but always with the main objective of preserving its environmental and landscape values.The management proposal for the western area of ??Cartagena should include actions on the neighborhood proposals that were presented in the PPC:1.
Protection of all areas with environmental, territorial and landscape values.2.
Specific management of population hamlets through urban rehabilitation and regeneration actions.3.
Measures that favor economic diversification and the attraction of new investments and emerging sectors compatible with the Protected Natural Environment.4.
Visualization and enhancement of the ethnographic wealth of the area.5.
