| A student from Caminos proposes an area of ??public facilities and urban actions to achieve Puerto Home | New proposal for the achievement of the Cartagena Puerto Home project: The transfer of the Santa Lucía container terminal to the future Gorguel dock or an expansion of Escombreras, for the development of an area of ??public port facilities and tertiary urban activities.This approach has been made by Cristina Camacho Segura in her Final Project of the Master's Degree in Road, Channel and Port Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).Camacho includes in his proposal a large passenger terminal, a five-star hotel, a shopping center and a tram that allows tourists to move from this area to the urban center of the city, generating an intermodal connection with the future AVE station.

The TFM by Cristina Camacho (Lorca, 1994) contemplates a Special Plan for the reordering and urban conditioning of the seafront of Cartagena in its area of ??public port domain.The Court has rated it a 10 and has proposed it for honors.
