| The employers highlight the importance of having a tourism and commerce promotion plan before the arrival of the new normality | The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Tourism and Commerce, Manuel Padín, met this Tuesday May 26 with representatives of the Cartagena Hospitality Association (Hostecar) with the aim of analyzing the first days of Phase 2 of de-escalation of the crisis sanitary in the municipality.The president of the employers, Juan José López, and the secretary of the same, Rafael Candel, explained the need for the City Council to have plans to promote Tourism and Commerce before the health crisis ends and the new normality is reached .

The deputy mayor has indicated that from his area and in coordination with the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE) is already working on the development of separate plans to accelerate the recovery of both sectors.From the association they have stressed that it is essential to create a campaign that focuses on the local economy and promote spending on nearby businesses, to reactivate the municipal economy as soon as possible.

They have also put forward a proposal for promotional videos that will revitalize both commerce and tourism as soon as possible.As the main group representing the hospitality of the municipality, the association has also wanted to claim the need to further specify the measures adopted regarding the beach bars on the coast.

The president of the employers has highlighted the urgency that the Coastal Demarcation pronounce on the possibility of expanding the area of ??the terraces with the aim of maintaining the number of tables, as well as the study of transferring the fee of the facilities to the next year.
