| After being closed for more than two months due to the health crisis, it will now receive visits following a protocol of security measures and in stages, until it can recover your schedule and regular activities | The Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena "Enrique Escudero de Castro" is scheduled to reopen to the public on Tuesday, June 2.Given the current epidemiological situation derived from the health crisis, the Museum's technical team, following the recommendations of the health and cultural authorities for the start of the recovery of certain public services, including museums, has prepared a protocol of necessary measures to the progressive reopening of the museum and its activities, as a responsible transition plan to the new normal.In addition to providing Museum staff and visitors to exhibition halls with the appropriate specific protection guidelines recommended by health authorities, informational measures have been implemented, with appropriate signage, in order to determine access conditions.
and guidelines that visitors must follow: mandatory use of a mask, maintenance of a safety distance, use of disinfectant solution in the reception area, etc.In an initial phase (Stage I) contemplated until June 12, and as a preventive measure visits to the Museum are set at 1/3 of the maximum capacity.
Only individual visits, family units and groups of 5 to 10 people will be allowed, the latter by appointment.
Neither will there be didactic workshops or face-to-face cultural activities, the use of tactile museum elements as well as explanatory guides or brochures being disabled.Likewise, in the spaces of the Museum reserved for research, access to consultation of materials from the museum collections, as well as in the Museum's library, the presence of researchers will not be accepted.
Only applications processed electronically will be accepted.In this sense, and until the current scenario allows the Museum's normal hours and activities to be recovered, the opening of the Museum until June 12 is established only for visitors from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 : 00.
With the possibility that from that date, and progressively, in successive phases, capable of being modified depending on the epidemiological evolution and the new cultural guidelines that may be established, it is feasible to extend the opening hours and activities until Stage III normality.
