| The initiative, of a technological nature, is a joint project of Telefónica, Info, the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce and the UPCT | Thirteen entrepreneurs from various sectors participated in the telematic launch of 'Murcia Open Future Hub Carthago', which has the support of the Instituto de Fomento (Info), Telefónica, the Cartagena Chamber and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), and that Its purpose is to take advantage of a specific acceleration methodology for projects with solid technological foundations.The director of Info, Diego Rodríguez-Linares, urged novice entrepreneurs to overcome the setbacks that the current crisis has generated and stated that “we are learning about the importance of innovation, which will be one of the elements in which, during the next months and years, more energy and resources will have to be invested by entrepreneurs, companies and administrations ”.Among the thirteen projects selected, the wide variety of business ideas and projects stands out.
There are some related to home automation, diving, sports, design and additive manufacturing, and proposals to improve the audio experience, even for people with hearing problems.Proposals will also be developed that seek to improve science and technology training, in addition to efficiency thanks to the application of Big Data to human resources, and the humanization of organizations.
The projects 'startups' dedicated to the prevention of visual health, and a factory to transform residual organic matter into a product of value complete.'Hub Carthago' is located in the ELDI building of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
There, the entrepreneurs will develop their projects through the specific methodology that the organizers have designed, which will allow them to promote and mature the business concepts presented publicly.For four months they will have access to specialized training in entrepreneurship, investment, marketing, innovation and digital skills, in addition to personalized advice offered both by Info and by the other organizations and entities that organize the program.
Startups that are capable of adequately evolving in their business projects will opt for four additional months of training.
