| One person per niche will be allowed to enter for one hour in the morning, in addition to holding funerals | Municipal cemeteries will open their doors to the general public on Friday, May 15, although they will do so with strict sanitary and usage regulations.
In this way, from the Department of Health, directed by the deputy mayor and mayor of the area, Manuel Padín, instructions have been given for the cemeteries to allow entry in the morning, from 9.00 to 12.30, to one person per niche and for an hour.The mayor has recalled that the cemeteries on which this measure will be applied are those of San Ginés de la Jara, Alumbres, San Antón and Santa Lucía, which are municipally owned.
"We want to allow citizens to visit their loved ones, but we cannot take the situation lightly and that is why we have put strict rules of use," explained the councilor, who added that "in subsequent stages of the state We will adapt these measures to the real situation ”.Also, according to the Ministerial Order that regulates Phase 1 of the state of alarm, the celebration of burials in municipal cemeteries will be allowed, although "it is restricted to a maximum of fifteen people, including family and friends, in addition to, where appropriate , the minister of worship or person assimilated from the respective confession for the practice of the funeral rites of farewell to the deceased ".In any case, the municipal department has regulated the access of citizens with clear sanitary measures that will also be communicated to the population through signage at the entrance to the cemeteries themselves.
Among the rules of use is the obligation to wear a mask and gloves and to maintain a social distance of two meters during your stay in the facilities.
Likewise, the use of the cemetery toilets is prohibited, except in emergency cases, in which the user must contact the graveyard staff.
Neither will it be possible to access the interior of the facilities by private car, being only allowed to enter funeral vehicles.
