Yesterday was the first day of Phase 1 of the de-escalation in the entire Region of Murcia.
In Cartagena, specifically, we were able to see crowded terraces where the users, the vast majority of them young, did not carry any means of protection and much less kept the safety distance.
From the AA.VV Federation, Consumers and Users of Cartagena and Comarca "Fernando Garrido" we ask ourselves a question, if this has happened on the first day of Phase 1, what will happen in the phases that are coming soon ?.
Citizens, and especially the younger ones, must be responsible in their actions, since COVID-19 is not a pandemic that we are seeing announced as movie of the year on movie posters, it is completely real and it leaves a lot of suffering.
We understand that the confinement has been very hard for everyone, but precisely because of the effort we have made, we cannot allow ourselves to be irresponsible because a resurgence supposes another stop in the economy and, more importantly, more sick people.
We are able for once to show that we care about others, for that reason; From the Federation we appeal to the good judgment of those who occupy terraces, public roads or go out to do sports so that they comply with the established norms.
The State security forces must not hesitate for a moment to put the infractions they deem appropriate to safeguard the lives of citizens and we appeal to the Delegate of the Government and the City Council of Cartagena so that if it is necessary to increase the number of troops in the city As in neighborhoods and county councils, do so and we will prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.
