| The objective of the Department is to reach the largest possible population and also contribute to the elimination of the Digital Gender Gap | # Conect2EnIgualdad is a living project that, despite having been born out of the need of the moment, has come to stay as a new development strategy for the Department of Equality of the Cartagena City Council.On the implementation of this new project, the mayor of Equality, David Martínez, explained that "after analyzing the needs that have been presented to us in the context of the current situation in the municipality of Cartagena and, in light of the historical, social and cultural crisis caused by the health emergency of the Covid-19 pandemic, from the Department of Equality we consider it essential to reconvert the way in which our programs and interventions reach all citizens.
"Thus, they have proposed to recycle the approach and citizen intervention formula that, although it does not replace the real presence and the face-to-face activity that will continue to be maintained as soon as the situation allows, will serve to grow, develop and nurture the objectives of work in values equality and ethnic and sexual diversity, empowerment of women and the fight against gender violence.An expansion area to reach other sections of the population, from another version that will provide the opportunity to approach people, citizens, everyone who was already there and also those who could not reach the previous dynamics.
“We are certain, and we justify it in the concept of the Digital Gender Gap, that if we incorporate our content and interventions into the digital medium, we will encourage all those women who, until now, have not felt as such the need to acquire and improve their tools and knowledge of ICT to manage in this area, "said Martinez.In addition, they are going to reinforce other sectors of the population, such as children, youth and men, who approach the Department, its new channels and its new possibilities.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe # Conecta2EnIgualdad project is based on the creation of a virtual version of those areas and contents of the Department of Equality that allow it, based on establishing a platform supported by Social Media networks for the transmission of digital content, dissemination of online activities , and maintaining active contact with citizens, by creating a network of platforms to have a presence in the municipality.The digital platform of the project will be articulated based on three branches, with the creation of profiles of the social network Instagram, You Tube, and the optimization of the existing Facebook Fan Page.
These three profiles will be intertwined for the dissemination and transmission of the contents of the intervention program, establishing for it and according to technical criteria of specialists from the Department in different aspects, a schedule of emissions and interventions, according to themes and objectives, always under supervision and subject to evaluation and improvement.
On this, the mayor has commented that “it is a flexible tool and subject to the results of its own implementation.
The circular operation always supposes a benefit in the diffusion of contents, since it allows reaching more users and more efficiently ”.AREAS• EQUALITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Contents: transmission of equal values ??and prevention of gender violence, co-responsibility, diversity, co-education or inclusion. At Infant, Primary and Secondary Education levels: emotional intelligence in the face of violence, women scientists, empowerment in the face of sexist and violent content.• EQUAL YOUTHContents: the egalitarian debate, transversal ethical content about equality values ??for the prevention of aggressive, totalitarian and reductionist behaviors, acquisition of critical skills, referring to the capacity of expression, argumentation, argued discussion from the respect to the different; building constructive skills about equal rights and opportunities and the inclusion of diversity.• EQUALITY AGENCY Contents:• New Masculinities, the egalitarian man and positive masculinity; construction of gender identity, co-responsible participation, myths of patriarchal masculinity and alternatives to patriarchal models of "being" man.• Ethnic, racial and / or cultural diversity: equality of opportunity and equality of treatment, intersectionality of gender, race and class: anti-gypsyism and discrimination.• Sexual Diversity: different sexual identities, different family models, sex and gender construction.
Healthy experience of sexual identity.• Healthy Relationships: alternatives to toxic relationship models; micromachisms and romantic love; healthy loves against the conflict of the traditional relationship.• EMPOWERMENT SCHOOL FOR WOMENCreate virtual meeting space, exchange and personal and social development, where we accompany women in their transformation process on a personal level.
Contents: Varied workshops and courses for the empowerment of women.
Tools and resources to promote self-knowledge and development of skills and competences.
Meeting spaces where you can connect with your own talents and focus on psychosocial achievement.

Know your space: Guided tours.• GENDER-BASED VIOLENCECampaigns for the prevention of gender violence, information on resources and workshops on healthy relationships.METHODOLOGYThe development of the aforementioned contents will be carried out through a virtual platform, based on the circular transmission of activities in the different online spaces and on the profiles created ad hoc for it on behalf of our Department.The different modalities will be the following:• Live broadcast schedule• “Live” discussions• Online training• Creation and broadcast of short videos on the aforementioned topics.• Global maintenance of social media with news, articles and the dissemination of the content to be projected.• Interviews of leading people on different topics• Launch of periodic challenges• Social gatherings from virtual platform• Storytelling• Píldoras coeducativas para todos los públicos acerca de temas para promoción infantil y juvenil y prevención de la violencia.Cabe señalar que todas estas modalidades no son excluyentes y que la sinergia entre ellas dará como resultado la eficiencia de la intervención, creándose para ello una estrategia calculada en cuanto a temporalización, calendarización y metodología de actuación.
