The Governing Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has approved today that there are no face-to-face exams until after the EBAU tests (Baccalaureate Assessment for University Access).
The old Selectivity will take place on July 6, 7 and 8.The agreement of the face-to-face exams aims that the students can carry out their exams with guarantees and according to the recommendations of the health authorities, the reduction of the risk of contagion of SARS-VOC-2.
The UPCT is already adapting the spaces, according to the vice-rector for Faculty and Teaching Innovation, Luis Javier Lozano.
The Vice-Rector has recalled that, according to the plan of transition towards the new normality of the Government of Spain, free movement between provinces will be very limited until, at best, the end of June, which would make it difficult or even impossible Attendance at face-to-face exams during this month for students from outside the Region of Murcia.The UPCT will carry out online exams of more than 900 subjects in June.
Only 10% of the subjects keep the door open to face-to-face assessment.
Telecommuting The Governing Council has also agreed to maintain teleworking in all those positions that are possible, at least until the beginning of June.From that moment, the UPCT will reassess the situation and, depending on the progress, will specify which positions may be incorporated into the classroom activity and to what extent they may do so.
The return to activity plan will give priority to those that have to do with supporting the maintenance of living beings or that are directly related to the fight against SARS-COV2, indicates the manager, Isidro Ibarra.
